The Aleppo pepper has a fruity, yet earthy, warm flavor that is a cross between cumin and cayenne. These chili peppers are sun-dried, seeded and crushed. They are only moderately hot, about a 3 to 4 on a heat scale of 1 to 10. Aleppo pepper can be sprinkled on pizzas, salads, potatoes, deviled eggs, tuna salad, or in chili. Aleppo Pepper is great on grilled meats like chicken breast, steak, and pork chops.
